Terms & Conditions

These terms cover your use of the Krishna Furniture House website and set out how our quotes, orders, delivery and warranty work. Placing an order with us means you accept them.

1. About this website

This is an informational website. It does not sell anything directly: there is no cart, no checkout and no payment gateway. Everything shown here is an invitation to enquire, not a binding offer of sale.

2. Product information and images

We describe our furniture as accurately as we can, but note:

• Timber is a natural material. Grain, colour and figure vary between pieces, and this variation is a feature rather than a defect.
• Photographs and renderings are indicative. On-screen colour depends on your display and will not match the finished piece exactly.
• Dimensions are nominal and subject to a normal manufacturing tolerance of ±10 mm unless a tighter tolerance is agreed in writing.
• Solid wood moves seasonally. Slight expansion and contraction across the grain is normal behaviour, not a fault.

3. Quotations

Prices are given by written quotation only, because every piece is made to order and priced by size, timber and finish. Unless stated otherwise on the document itself, a quotation is valid for 30 days and is subject to material availability at the time of confirmation.

4. Orders and payment

• An order is confirmed when you approve the drawing and finish, and pay the agreed advance.
• Our standard terms are a 50% advance to begin work, with the balance due before dispatch.
• Production begins only after the advance clears and the drawing is approved in writing.
• Payment is taken directly by us — never through this website.

5. Custom and made-to-measure work

Custom pieces are built to your approved specification. Because they cannot be resold, custom orders cannot be cancelled or returned once production has started, except where the piece is defective or does not match the approved drawing. Please check drawings and dimensions carefully before approving them.

Changes requested after production begins may attract additional cost and will extend the lead time. We will always tell you the impact before proceeding.

6. Lead times

Indicative lead times are four to six weeks for a single piece and eight to twelve weeks for a full project, measured from drawing approval. We commit to a date in writing at order confirmation. Delays caused by circumstances outside our control — material shortages, transport disruption, or site access on your side — extend that date by the period of the delay.

7. Delivery and installation

• Delivery is scheduled with you in advance and includes assembly and placement.
• You are responsible for ensuring the piece can physically reach its room — please check doorways, stairwells, lifts and corridors before ordering.
• Where an item cannot be delivered because of access, redelivery or modification is chargeable.
• Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.

8. Warranty

We warrant the structure of our solid wood furniture and upholstery frames for ten years from delivery — joints, frames and load-bearing components — against defects in materials and workmanship, in normal domestic use.

The warranty does not cover:

• Fabric, leather, foam and hardware, which carry their own manufacturer terms (typically 1–5 years)
• Normal wear, fading from sunlight, and the patina timber develops with age
• Damage from misuse, accident, water ingress, pests, or unsuitable environmental conditions
• Pieces that have been modified, repaired or refinished by anyone other than us
• Commercial or contract use, unless a contract-grade specification was purchased

To claim, contact us at info@krishnafurniturehouse.com with your order reference and photographs. We will repair, or replace where repair is not practical, at our discretion.

9. Care

Keep solid wood out of direct sunlight and away from direct heat sources, wipe spills promptly, use coasters and mats, and lift rather than drag when moving. We supply care instructions with every delivery. Damage caused by not following them is not covered.

10. Intellectual property

All content on this website — text, photographs, designs, drawings and the Krishna Furniture House name and logo — belongs to us and may not be reproduced, redistributed or used commercially without our written permission.

11. Liability

We are responsible for supplying furniture that matches its agreed specification and is free from defects in materials and workmanship. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim is limited to the value of the goods supplied, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Shamshabad, Agra, Uttar Pradesh.
